Intergraph's latest computer-aided design system for the architectural and construction markets ascribes 'intelligence' to all elements in a design, so that they understand their relationship to other elements. This means that when one element is changed, the system automatically computes the impact across the whole building model.Project Architect/Modeller has been developed with IEZ and combines Intergraph's 2D and 3D graphics with IEZ's building modelling system. The result, says Intergraph, is a system which speeds design as well as generating working drawings. All information produced by a designer to describe a project is stored in a single database, so designers can use traditional symbols for elements, such as doors and windows, while using a full 3D geometrical version of the building. The system also includes automatic costing for detailed estimates.Intergraph, Tel: 0793 619999.
