17Feb94 UK: HIRE MANAGEMENT DEMANDS FEWER STROKES - MCS.

Management systems company MCS has uprated its hire management software with the introduction of InSitu 2000.The system uses third and fourth generation languages so that commonly used functions can be accessed with just one keystroke. There is also a pulldown menu bar to access other parts of the system, such as on-screen printing, on-line help and electronic mail.Entering plant codes, group codes, customers and suppliers, is simplified by a fast search facility.New features include a redesigned financial accounting system which builds up batches of information - if a mistake is made on one entry, the rest of the batch is not lost.In this system the sales, purchase and nominal ledgers also provide alphanumeric account numbers, open period accounting, automatic accrual and prepayment journals, invoice register and bank reconciliation. Also new is a purchase order processing module integrated to the stock control and purchase ledger systems.InSitu 2000 was introduced at the Hirex show in London at the end of January.MCS, Tel: 0628 471011.
