Oscar Faber TPA has been appointed to help develop a 1.7 sq km central business district in Shanghai into a Chinese version of London Docklands.The firm has been commissioned by the Shanghai Lujiazui Finance and Trade Zone Development Company to review and make recommendations to improve existing proposals for a transport system in the Lujiazui Central Area.Planners have already proposed a package of infrastructure investment which includes a mass transit railway, light rail and bus systems, ferry routes, roads, tunnels and bridges.The Oscar Faber team will suggest practical improvements to the proposals and consider the ability of the infrastructure to cope with the demand.
