20-year plan for the disabled published

Ministers will today set out a 20-year plan for improving the lives of the disabled.
The proposals for improving the economic and social opportunities available to the disabled have been drawn up by the Prime Minister's Strategy Unit, with input from a range of Government departments.

When the Strategy Unit published an interim report on the issue last summer, it said about 10 million people were affected by some form of mental or physical disability, including almost 20 per cent of the UK working age population.
