£200k fine for McLean

MCLEAN Homes was hit with fines and costs of more than £200,000 at Liverpool Crown Court this week after being found guilty of safety breaches.

McLean Homes North West and Cheshire pleaded not guilty following an accident in which an employee died after being run over by a JCB forklift.

The machine was reversing out of a site at Ashton Downs in Kirkby, Merseyside, on September 21 2000 when it hit Harold Moran, 54.
