20Jan94 UK: PILING PLEASE - NETWORK SOUTHEAST'S LONDON TO ASHFORD MAIN LINE - REMEDIAL WORK.

Remedial work is under way to repair Network SouthEast's London to Ashford main line after recent storms undermined an embankment between Tonbridge and Sevenoaks in Kent. A railway spokesman said heavy rain was to blame and that the work would be completed by the end of the month. CONSTRUCTION NEWS
