£20m roads


The Highways Agency has advertised two deals worth £20.1 million to upgrade a stretch of the A66 between Scotch Corner in North Yorkshire and Greta Bridge in County Durham.Work will involve building an additional parallel two-lane carriageway between Scotch Corner and Carkin Moor and the route between Stephen Bank and Greta Bridge.Tenders are due out on May 23.
