21Oct93 UK: UNIONS PRESS AHEAD WITH LINK UP PLAN.

Construction union UCATT and transport and general union TGWU are pressing ahead with merger talks.Members of both executives will meet next Tuesday to discuss a detailed merger plan.Last week UCATT's regional secretaries unanimously backed the move.
