21Oct93 UK: YES TO BIRMINGHAM POWER PLANT.

A £40 million gas power station in Birmingham has been given the go-ahead by the energy minister, Tim Eggar.Midlands Electricity subsidiary Central Power has secured planning consent to build a 100 MW capacity plant at the site of the company's existing 20 MW diesel-fired station at Fort Dunlop.
