Fourteen foreign firms have linked to finance a 2,400 ha new city development on the Mekong river near the Laotian capital, Vientiane. The city - called Land Peace Lanxang - will include a 3,000 room hotel, condominium complex, an industrial zone, country clubs and national park. Green Peace and Land Group, a state owned company, will manage the development.
