R-B Lincoln has launched a 40 tonne version of its all-hydraulic crawler crane. The CH40 shares many features with its bigger brother, the 50 tonne capacity CH50, which was launched at Bauma.Capable of using boom lengths of up to 48 m and fly jibs of up to 18 m, the crane is claimed to be able to outlift its competitors and can also be rigged for clamshell and dragline operations.Controls and displays on the CH40 are similar to the CH50, as is the cab, and include twin joysticks, load sensing hydraulics and digital displays showing the crane's main performance functions.
