Bolton Wanderers Football Club has teamed up with Orbit Developments in a bid to get a £40 million stadium started.A 52 ha site at Horwich has been earmarked for the stadium which would include associated commercial and leisure developments as well as a 20,000 seater arena for the club. The club's present home at Burnden Park is almost certain to prove too expensive to bring up to the standards required by the Taylor Report and the associated developments should help offset the cost of building a replacement.Support for the scheme has already been given in principle by the borough council. The club and developer now have six months to come up with a set of workable plans. CONSTRUCTION NEWS
