Easi-View has developed a surveillance system for portable or stand alone site monitoring. The system uses trailer mounted cameras which beam video CCTV pictures by cableless microwave link to a centralised viewing and control room. Each trailer consists of a diesel or petrol engine powered generator, video camera, and a two-way Microlink 60 microwave from Microwave Modules (UK).The camera and microlink are weatherproofed to IP65 standards and mounted on a 7.5m high retractable mast. The Microlink 60 module provides a uni-directional, full colour television link together with a narrow band channel in the reverse direction to control all of the functions of the camera installation (zoom, pan and tilt). The link operators up to a range of 1 km and is claimed to be totally unaffected by adverse weather. The control specification can include video recording, motion detection and integration to create a system suitable for monitoring long perimeters, motorways or large site surveillance. The trailer is towable by car or small van and is designed to withstand wind strengths in excess of normal UK conditions.Security of the equipment is provided by padlockable outriggers, mast and winch, security locks fitted to the on-board generator and electronics, and an anti-climb mesh on the mast.Full location tracking systems with alarms can be installed to monitor the trailer position from a central monitoring station, and power failure alarms can also be added to the system.
