Hybrid 4000 is a welding machine from Stubs UTP which uses the latest techniques to simplify the welding of a wide range of metals. The new welder offers electronically stored knowledge and six pre-programmed deposition rates to achieve 'perfect' welds. The types of process - electrodes, dip, spray, synergic pulse, etc - can be chosen at the touch of a switch. For the pulsed processes, a hard pulse (Pulse 1) or a soft pulse (Pulse 2) are available, allowing the penetration behaviour of the weld to be pre-selected.The wheel mounted welder weighs about 145 kg and includes a power source, wire feeder unit and power and earth cables. The standard programs available with Hybrid 4000 cover alloy steels, stainless steel and aluminium, but special programs can be supplied to cover cobalt alloys, copper, bronze, nickel alloys and special metals. The company also offers to develop specific programs.
