24Sep92 UK: VOLUME OF CONCRETE DELIVERED IN GREATER LONDON FALLS 45% IN LAST YEAR.

By Bill Fishlock.That the slump has taken a heavy toll on the building industry in London is well known.But one figure which says it all came from RMC last week when it disclosed that the volume of concrete delivered within the old GLC boundary has fallen by 45 per cent in the past year. And demand was not exactly buoyant in the previous 12 months.
