Work on a £250 million scheme to regenerate a huge site in the centre of Birmingham will start this year.The Brindleyplace scheme will turn a 6 ha site next to the city's International Convention Centre and National Indoor Arena, into a prestige development of shops, offices and leisure facilities.Four contractors are working up bids for the £5 million first phase, called the Water's Edge.It will provide 6,000 sq m of shops and restaurants opposite the canal side entrance ...
