Glasgow's twin bridges project for the River Clyde appears to have been killed off.The new chair of the road and transportation committee at Strathclyde Regional Council looks set to come down against the controversial £20 million scheme.Charles Gordon has said the bridges did not fit into his vision of the region's transport needs.The scheme will remain on the council's infrastructure programme until the committee formally proposes that the project is dropped.
