27Jan94 UK: FITZPATRICK TO TAKE 55 LEYLAND DAF TRUCKS FROM VALES TRUCK CENTRE.

Civil engineering group Fitzpatrick is taking 55 modified Leyland Daf trucks from Watford-based dealer Vales Truck Centre.The order includes five 85 series 8x4 tippers (pictured) fitted with Palfinger grab loaders for self-loading spoil at the roadside.The company has also taken 50 3.5 tonne diesel-powered Leyland Daf 400 vans. These have an extra long 3.6 m wheelbase with 3.8 m bodies.All of the vehicles are to be used by Fitzpatrick's cable TV and telecommunications division.They will help service four new cable installation contracts, three with Nynex in Manchester, Worthing and Epsom and Ewell, and one with Cable London in Harringay.
