The Scottish housing market is picking up as the new year begins on a more 'optimistic note', according to the Glasgow house builder London and Clydeside.A lower interest charge helped the company to almost double pre-tax profits to £742,000 in the year ending September (1992: £404,000).The firm, which builds mainly in Scotland's Central belt and in Aberdeen, raised its unit sales - which totalled 250 in 1992 - by 4 per cent.The firm says its reservations in the current year ...
