28Oct93 UK: DRIVER IN BIRSE SITE TRAGEDY.

A lorry driver was crushed to death on a Birse construction site last week while helping to unload his truck load of wood.Dennis Jenkinson, 46, who was employed by Newcastle and Gateshead Crane Hire, was delivering timber to the site at Ashington, Northumberland, when the accident occurred.Construction workers found him unconscious with head and chest injuries.He died in hospital shortly after arrival.Health and Safety Executive inspectors are investigating the tragedy.
