28Oct93 UK: DUO RAISE A BEAM ON BRIDGE JOB.

Working in tandem two 25 tonne mobile cranes lift a 10 tonne, 25 m long deck beam on to one of the many bridges being built by Miller along the Black Country route.The lift, started early on Monday, was made all the trickier by a 132 kV overhead power cable close by.Miller's £35 million contract is to build 3 km of road from Junction 10 on the M6 to Darlaston Lane, and includes infilling old mineworkings, ground improvements, water course and sewer diversions, diverting the overhead ...
