29Oct92 UK: TARMAC WINS M25 WIDENING CONTRACT.

Tarmac has been confirmed winner of the M25 widening scheme to the west of London with a price of £24 million.Work on the contract is expected to start early in 1993, lasting for about a year.The motorway will be widened from three to four lanes in each direction for a 7.5 km section from the M4 to M40 junctions.Widening will be kept within the existing M25 boundaries by converting the existing hard shoulder to traffic lanes and building new hard shoulders.All the bridges on this ...
