Powermarc, a division of tool specialist Marcrist, is launching a range of 12 in abrasive discs, the XS range. At the same time, it is releasing detailed comparative test results to prove its claims for the XS range.
Marcrist surface preparation division Marxco will display dust management products, while Marcrist Diamonds will show a range of diamond cutting blades and tools.
Hydraulic tool specialist Xcalibre is displaying a range of high-productivity breakers from Danish company Lifton Breakers, for which it is the sole UK distributor.
Lifton's vibration dampened range - from 12 kg to 31 kg - will be displayed alongside Xcalibre's machine-mounted breakers, towable and portable power packs.
Xcalibre is also unveiling its Delta Drive drilling system, which it claims drills three times faster than other diamond core systems.
The company will also launch a new user-friendly instruction pack for first-time users of its drilling and breaking equipment.
JCB is launching two additions to its mini excavator range, featuring extending undercarriages. The 8017 and 8018 both weigh 1.7 tonnes and with undercarriages retracted are less than 1 m wide. The 8018 has higher bucket and dipper tearout capacity and a bigger digging envelope.
Access manufacturer Upright is showing a range of powered and traditional access equipment, comprising self-propelled and trailer platforms and aluminium towers. These range from the 7.8 m MX19 micro scissor lift to the 13.5 m TL38 trailer lift. The company is also promoting its finance and training divisions.
Saville Tractors is showing a new zero tailswing mini excavator from Japanese manufacturer Yanmar. The Vi015 weighs 1.5 tonnes and incorporates 2,168 mm of dig depth and track width of 1,200 mm.
Also being shown is the Yanmar C30R-1 crawler carrier, which has new hydrostatic transmission and an engine with 47 per cent increased power over the previous version; the Gehl SL3825 skid steer loaders; and the Lifton LS500 mini dumper.
Goldlyne is displaying new Silom Pipe Threaders which feature a new electronic security system that establishes the owner's details when read with a scanner.
The Goldlyne stand will also feature a range of pipeworking equipment, including manually operated hydraulic pipe benders, soil pipe cutters and wrenches.
Sandhurst Manufacturing (SMC) is launching a new range of mini excavators with weights from 1.5 tonnes to 4.6 tonnes. SMC says the machines are ruggedly built, with additional protection for the engine and for hydraulic hoses, which are laid in the swing post. Power comes from Isuzu water-cooled engines.
Sandhurst will also be displaying its range of seven sound-suppressed Genpac generators ranging from 5 to 100 kVa.
Power tool specialist DeWalt will show two new cordless products: the 18 V DW933K2 jig saw, which it claims cuts three times faster than similar cordless products; and the DW965K 12 V right angle drill/driver, which offers two speeds for light industrial and installation applications.
The company will also display a range of its power tools alongside a testing area for customers to evaluate them before they buy.
Independent power tool manufacturer Fein is launching the WSG 12-70E Sander Grinder at Hirex, a lightweight 1,200 W machine which accommodates a number of sanding and grinding heads for material finishing.
Fein is also exhibiting a number of mains operated and cordless machines, ranging from the Multi-Master 180W triangular sanding system to the FSN 400E Cutter, for refurbishment applications.
TT-Pumps is exhibiting an extensive range of pumps, from drainage to sewerage versions. The main focus will be on electric submersibles, offering capacity up to 190 cu m an hour. The company also has a controls division, allowing hirers to specify complete pumping packages.
Paslode is coming to Hirex for the first time to display its line of Impulse cordless nailers. The company says the tools, available in a variety of power outputs and sizes, are being used increasingly by professional joiners and house builders because they give a neater and quicker result than a hammer.
The Impulse range also features light-duty models for materials which could be split by conventional hammering.
Welding specialist Mosa is displaying a line of new welding products - including the 37 kg, two-stroke, 200 amp welder; and the Yanmar-powered 300 amp and 350 amp water-cooled machines.
It is launching a new lighting tower based on a 5 kVa silenced genset.
Also on show is Mosa's range of gensets - from 2.5 kVa to 4 kVa petrol versions to 10 kVa super silenced units.
BX Plant Sales
BX Plant Sales is showing its Strong Arm drum mover chassis, which allows 205 litre drums up to a capacity of 300 kg to be lifted
by one person. BX is also exhibiting its recently acquired line of Belspray hand-operated and engine-driven bitumen emulsion sprayers.
German manufacturer Elektra Beckum will exhibit its range of welders for the first time at Hirex. The welders - from 25 amps to 260 amps - will be displayed alongside ranges of saws, pressure washers and compressors.
Newlins Computing Consultants has launched an invoicing, certification and stock control software package for the hire industry.
Winhire 4.1 comes with a five-user licence and an on-line support system.
Thomas Equipment is unveiling its EuroTom range of mini excavators, ranging from 1.5 tonnes to 4.6 tonnes, alongside its heavy-duty skid steers, with lift capacities from 408 kg to 1089 kg. The Euro Tom range has Isuzu engines, with the 1.7 tonne TS-17 featuring extendable tracks.
Hitachi Power Tools will be showing a number of new products among its range of equipment. The focal point of its display will be two new SDS- Max breaker models and a new cordless planer.
Makita comes to Hirex with an extensive range of power tools featuring its nickel metal hydride battery system for cordless equipment. The company is launching a new 300 mm petrol disc cutter - the Power Cutter- alongside the HR5001C Roto-Hammer and the 9069F Angle Grinder, a 230 mm tool with 200 W of power. The tools have been developed for the construction industry and feature dust protection and reduced vibration and noise.
Draper will be displaying a selection of power and hand tools, including sintered and laser-welded diamond cutting blades and inverter welders. Draper will also launch new Metabo-branded products, including sanders and drilling machines.
Mini excavator and skid steer specialist Bobcat will show a range of ROPS-compliant equipment. The focus will be on the X320 mini, a 1.5-tonne machine with a breakout force of 1,516 kg; and the 553 skid steer, which has an operating capacity of 450 kg and an improved hydraulic output.
Also on show will be Bobcat's range of 35 attachments.
Stapling and glue gun specialist Rapesco will be showing a range of industrial tackers and staple equipment, along with accessories such as cable staples and staples with multi-leg lengths.
Space Air Mobiles
Space Air Mobiles is displaying the 17-model range of Mizushi portable air conditioners, which it claims is the largest range from one manufacture. Cooling capacities are from 2.2 to 5.5 kW. They are available with heating and timer options.
Alto Cleaning Systems is to launch a new range of sanders at Hirex, including the OBS-18 orbital sander for sanding and polishing surfaces including wood, tile and terrazzo flooring; the 3-DS fine finish sander; and the American 8 sander - a high-power 4HP
Hilta Plant will introduce a 4 in centrifugal pump mounted on a fast- tow chassis. The CV100 is self priming with vacuum assist and an output of 150 cu m an hour. Hilta says the sound-dampening canopy produces a pumping noise level of 66 dBA.
Volvo Construction Equipment is exhibiting the Pel-Job range of mini excavators and Volvo mini wheeled loaders.

Site dumper and forklift specialist Ausa is launching a four-wheel-drive version of its 1 tonne compact dumper. The 108 is claimed to have a 30 per cent higher payload than other compact dumpers and the 4 x 4 version comes in forward tipping, high discharge and 180 degree hydraulic rotating versions.
Heater specialist Marlwood will be launching its own wireless security system for its portable heaters and dehumidifiers. It will also be exhibiting a range of Italian-manufactured portable heaters - both oil and LPG-fired - and a range of dehumidifiers.
The Belle Group is exhibiting a range of products from subsidiaries Belle Engineering, Errut Products and Panther International.
Belle will be launching two new generators, a 5.5 kVa super-silent model and a 5 kVa diesel powered machine, while Errut will be launching a new range of diamond blades for use with handheld cutting equipment.
Taylor Construction Plant will be displaying its range of Amida lighting towers, incorporating proprietary lamps that the company claims provides three times the output of conventional tungsten halogen systems.
Among the products on display from the dumper specialist will be the new Skipstar narrow dumper - a four-wheel steer hydrostatic drive machine with a width of 980 mm. The Skipstar, aimed at skip loading, can discharge a 1-tonne payload at a height up to 1.2 m. It features a folding rollbar to meet ROPS regulations.
EP Barrus is celebrating its appointment as distributor for Kohler Engines with a display of the manufacturer's full petrol range. Barrus will also be showing its range of Yanmar Industrial air-cooled and water-cooled engines.
Nailing specialist Spotnails will launch a cordless machine which does not require batteries, hoses or mains power. The Bammer range of nailers and staplers runs off a fuel cell, to provide up to 3,000 shots per cartridge.
Wholesale Welding Supplies is exhibiting a range of Italian manufactured Telwin welding machines, including plasma cutting, spot welding and inverter versions. WWS will show its line of safety wear products.
Compaction specialist Bomag is displaying its new range of vibrating rammers. They include two- and four-stroke engines in three weight classes. Bomag will also be displaying three plates and a range of rollers and compactors.
Independent manufacturer Impact Diamond Tools will be displaying a new range of segmented blades, aimed at the economy end of the market, which features a standard concentration laser-welded specification.
The company will also be selling its range of DDS drill rig systems.
Harrington Generators is launching a new version of its Silent Knight super silent generator, which includes a new engine/alternator configuration and twin water cooled diesel. Harrington says this offers increased flexibility in electrical output and running times, with one generator able to do several jobs.

Access specialist Genie is launching a number of booms and scissors, notably the Z-34/22 Bi-Energy, a 12.1 m self-propelled boom with a horizontal reach of 6.8 m. The machine's generator allows 17 hours' operation before recharging and also acts as a charger for the 48 V battery.
Rapid Heat and Building Equipment is unveiling new 3kW portable heaters to add to its Electra range. The heaters are available in both 230 V and 110 V versions and incorporate thermostats and dual heat settings.
Rapid will also be displaying its Cool Connection air conditioning and cooler packages and Heat Connection space and fan heaters.
Power tool specialist Casals is showing a range of grinders, saws and drills on its stand. On the same stand, Jepson will be displaying its cut-off saw range, which includes abrasive metal cut off and super-dry cutter models.
Diamond product specialist Nimbus will display both wet and dry diamond cutters saws and wires. In an expanded range, the company is launching hydraulic hand-held shears, the Combi-shears, which weigh 14 kg but can cut through rebar and masonry and can force door frames from walls.
Hilti is exhibiting its range of fixing and fastening systems, which includes drills, diamond systems and anchors.
The consumables distributor will display a selection of its 10,000 product line - from rail products to work wear.
It has just launched a new lightweight jacket which combines a waterproof outdoor jacket and a fleece.
Parker will also be showing its range of Thief Stopper tool and plant theft products, featuring equipment for strimmers through to excavators.
Power cutting specialist Stihl is to show a range of its circular saws, cut-off saws and chainsaws.
