An Icelandic-led consortium reached financial close on a £110 million PPP deal to build ten schools in Aberdeen on December 21 - four months after the target date.
The group – including Icelandic property company Nysir and Danish contractor Pihl & Son – began work on two schools in October last year. Another three will begin early in the new year.
Nine schools will be new builds and one will be a complete refurbishment. They will serve over 4,000 pupils.
