AccordMP lands £190m roads deal

Highway services contractor AccordMP has won a £190 million contract to manage and maintain motorways, bridges and major roads across southern England.

The five-year contract, with an option for a further two years, was awarded by the Highways Agency and takes affect in September.

AccordMP will manage the routes operated by the agency in Hampshire, Berkshire and parts of Surrey, Oxfordshire, Dorset, Buckinghamshire and Wiltshire.

The second largest Highways Agency area, it covers 1,242km of carriageways, including parts of the M3 and M4.

AccordMP is owned by Mouchel, the consulting and business services group, and support servcies company Enterprise.
