Additive cuts consumption

PLANT

WARE-BASED fuel specialist ChemEcol has developed a diesel additive that it claims will cut fuel consumption by 3 to 4 per cent and reduce pollutants.

The addition of its new product Additone to either fuel bunkers or to petrol tanks works by enhancing combustion of the fuel/air mixture, reducing the amount of unburnt fuel.

According to the firm, the additive also 'gently cleans' the cylinder lining, piston crown, valves and injectors, burning with no ash product ion and reducing wear to some par ts of the engine.

This more efficient combustion cuts carbon monoxide, nitrous oxide and particulates. ChemEcol believes this product is one of the first non-metallic additives to actively inf luence combustion.
