Adnoc awards housing deal to Mushrif

Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (Adnoc) has awarded Mushrif Trading & Contracting a AED189m ($51m) infrastructure contract for work at the Ruwais housing complex in Abu Dhabi.

The scope of the contract covers the supply, installation, construction, testing and commissioning of the main roads in phase three of the Ruwais housing complex.

It also includes pavements, street lighting, service corridors, sanitary drainage and underground 11kV cables.

Mobilisation work has begun on site and the contract will be completed in January 2011.

Ruwais is 240km west of Abu Dhabi city, and is home to an industrial and housing complex developed by Adnoc.

Mushrif announced in July that it was moving its corporate headquarters from Kuwait to Abu Dhabi, although the move has yet to be completed
