Air and sea


Plans to extend a runway at Isle of Man airport have been opened to public consultation. The proposals, developed by Carillion design subsidiary TPS, involve building a rubble mound in the sea and extending the runway onto it. The work, on behalf of the Isle of Man government, could start in 2007.
