Balfour Beatty is believed to be in the running to buy London City Airport in partnership with US investment bank Merrill Lynch . The airport, in London's Docklands area, has a shortlist of around six bidders. The second round of bidding closed on Tuesday with offers expected to be around £650-£700 million.
