Alfred McAlpine set to sign £40m Derby deal

Alfred McAlpine will sign a new road maintenance and improvement contract with Derby City Council this week.

The five-year ‘derbyroads’ project, worth £40 million, will see Alfred McAlpine take care of all routine road maintenance within the city of Derby. The deal is set to be finalised tomorrow.

Alan Garner, managing director of Alfred McAlpine’s highways maintenance business, said: “Every local authority has a tight highways budget. It is our role to help deliver the same or better service for less money.”
