Amey Lagan Roads wins £250m contract

A consortium of Amey, Lagan and Ferrovial Agroman has achieved financial close for Northern Ireland’s Department for Regional Development Roads Services DBFO package two contract.

Amey and Lagan have created a special purpose project company called Amey Lagan Roads for the purpose.

The 30-year £250 million project is part of the country’s £18 billion infrastructure investment strategy over the next decade.

This involves upgrading the existing A1, the construction of a new dual carriageway for the A4 from Dungannon to Ballygawley and its operation and maintenance for 30 years.

Amey group director Chris Webster said: “Winning this contract is a fantastic success for the Amey, Lagan and Ferrovial Agroman consortium; it presents Amey and the other consortium members with the opportunity to demonstrate the strength of our partnership network.
