Amey on top

Amey has continued its dominance of the highways maintenance sector with the award of a deal worth up to £450 million. The firm, which has already taken £600 million worth of work from the Highways Agency this year, was told on Tuesday that it had dislodged Accord from its position as highways maintenance contractor for Hertfordshire County Council. The new deal will see Amey and its partner Lafarge form an alliance with the council to carry out all of its highways works and maintenance services.
