Architect firm snares director

Architect firm Carey Jones has poached David Roden from HKR Architects for its board of directors.

The Leeds-based practice has announced the immediate appointment of Mr Roden, who was a director at the London office of Dublin-based HKR.

Mr Roden was chief architect of a £74 million, 13-storey building that won planning approval last month for a site at Fore Street, in central London.

The building, a project of investment and service group Telereal, is due to be finished in spring 2010.

A specialist in commercial office design and urban regeneration Mr Roden was previously a director at London-based Michael Aukett Architects. He will join the commercial office division of Carey Jones’ London studio.
