Asbestos error


Health and Safety Executive inspectors have slapped a second prohibition notice on Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council in a fortnight following a scare over asbestos. In both cases the HSE found the council had not provided contractors with suitable information on the location of asbestos at housing projects at Brinnington and Offerton, putting workers at risk.
