Asbestos upset

Prime Minister Tony Blair said the Government wants to overturn a House of Lords ruling that will lead to lower compensation payouts for workers with asbestos-related cancer. The House of Lords decided employers should not be liable for full damages if the affected employee had been exposed to asbestos at different jobs. Speaking at the GMB's annual conference in Blackpool on Tuesday Mr Blair said: 'I regret the judgement. I'm looking to see the best opportunity for us to change the asbestos ruling.'
