At a glance

The bar chart (left) compares monthly contract awards with the level of awards in the same month a year earlier. The line graph (below) shows the rolling 12-month total of contracts awarded. Each point on the graph is the total of contracts awarded in the year to that month. This helps smooth out seasonal variations and provides a guide to work in hand. Taken together, the figures for July, August and September show workload on an upward trend after a worrying dip in the industry's fortunes earlier in the year.

The transfer of Glenigan's systems on to a new database has prevented publication of the Trends figures for July and August until now. Publication of the Trends figures will now return to the previous monthly schedule. We apologise for any inconvenience.
