Balfour Beatty clinches £20m London office deal

Balfour Beatty Construction has clinched a £20 million contract to build an office complex in the City of London for property group Stockland Halladale.

Work will cover demolition of the existing building and construction of a seven-storey office block.

Balfour Beatty director and general manager London and South Peter Clist said: “We are very pleased to have been awarded this contract by Stockland Halladale and look forward to delivering a first-class facility to complement the surrounding area.

“This award further enhances Balfour Beatty’s position in the London Market.”

The 102-week contract will commence with a 30-week programme of demolition works. The project is due for completion in July 2009.
