Balfour nails Derby station revamp

Balfour Kilpatrick has grabbed a £1.8 million contract to install mechanical and electrical services at Derby Midland train station for Edmund Nuttall.

Work will cover replacement of all the station canopies and waiting rooms over four phased handovers.

Installation of services including CCTV, fire alarms and air conditioning will also come under the deal.

The project is scheduled for completion in spring next year. Overall client for the job is Network Rail Infrastructure.
