Barr chalks up £25m job

CONTRACTS GLASGOW

BARR has won a £25 million Scottish schools deal.

The firm has been awarded the contract to put up four primary schools in and around Glasgow. Barr was picked by Glasgow City Council ahead of rivals Balfour Beatty and Kier.

Work is due to start on the first school in September.

Building work on the four schools will then be staggered.

The last one is due to be completed in November 2006.
