Barratt green light for 950 homes

Barratt has been chosen as the preferred developer to build a new housing and leisure development in south east London.

Lewisham Council has chosen the firm as the preferred developer to build a leisure centre including a gym, cafe, 25m eight-lane pool and a teaching pool at Loampit Vale in Lewisham.

There will also be more than 950 new homes in the scheme, along with space for shops and businesses.

Work is due to start in autumn next year.
