Barratt hit by threats

POLICE are investigating death threats sent to staff at house builder Barratt Homes.

Employees at 16 of the company's offices in England and Scotland received letters containing suspicious white power and threatening 'death to all Barratt employees' last week.

The powder was later found to be harmless.

A company spokesman said: 'The letters were received from an objector to one of our brownfield developments in the Midlands which has been given planning permission. We have handed the letters to Nottinghamshire police.'

Police are yet to make any arrests.
