Barratt south boss off with 'immediate effect'

Barratt Developments executive director Clive Fenton has left the company.

Mr Fenton, who was in charge of Barratt in the south of England, left with immediate effect, the company said.

He joined Barratt in 1983, and became managing director of Barratt West London in 1996 before taking up the southern post in 2005.

Executive director Steven Boyes has taken the new role of Barratt’s chief operating officer

Chief executive Mark Clare said: “Steven is one of the most respected operators in the industry and has a wealth of housebuilding experience, having joined the group in 1978. The revised operating structure will drive further standardisation, cost efficiency and quality improvement across the Group and underpin the delivery of improved profitability and reduced net debt.”
