Beam blow

Tulloch Developments was fined £10,000 at Lerwick Sheriff Court in Shetland, Scotland, last week for an incident in which a welder's leg was shattered by a steel girder.Thomas Irvine was working on a job to build the firm's new offices in Gremista in April last year when the beam fell from a telehandler, smashing his leg.Tulloch admitted to breaching health and safety rules and not having a safe system of work in place.
