Belfast retail centre in line for £6m revamp

Irish developer Killultagh Estates is to invest £6 million in the refurbishment of the Connswater shopping centre to the east of Belfast.

The revamp will add 3,715 sq m of retail space in an extension to the centre.

As part of the building works, Killultagh Estates wants to add another storey to the existing car park and a modern glass structure to transform the entrance.

At present, the centre covers 27,000 sq m and has a 14-unit retail park on site. The extension work will add nine units to the centre and a food court on the first floor.
