Bidders sought for A12 maintenance

The Highways Agency is seeking a contractor to carry out £950,000 of maintenance and renewal works on 2.3km of the A12 Kelvedon Bypass in Essex.

The structures work involves strengthening parapet cantilevers, replacement of parapets, deck waterproofing, expansion joints and refurbishment and construction of bridge bearings inspection shelves.

Associated work includes two areas of embankment strengthening works and reconstruction of four headwalls at River Blackwater outfalls.

Up to five bidders will be shortlisted for the job and the deadline for entries is 18 March.
