Bids sought for £4.3m school merger

Wolverhampton City Council is looking for contractors to bid for a £4.3m education project to build the new Rakegate Primary School.
Work will include construction of a new infant and junior school to merge two separate existing schools. The school will be built on the site of the current junior school. Construction of an early years centre will also come under the deal.

A maximum of ten bidders will be invited to tender for the deal set to start in April 2006.

Firms are asked to express an interest by mid November.
