Big hitters set sights on office blocks

CONTRACTS SCOTLAND

FOUR FIRMS will return tenders later this month for two office developments totalling £26 million in Scotland.

Morrison, Sir Robert McAlpine, Balfour Beatty and HBG will submit bids to developer Kenmore on February 28 for a £14 million office scheme in Glasgow.

The nine-storey office building will go up in the city's financial services district.

On the same day, the four will also return bids to property company Redevco for its £12 million redevelopment of a former C&A store on Princes Street in Edinburgh.

The new building will be a mixture of retail and office space.
