Birse tipped in road race


BIRSE is favourite to land a £20 million road scheme in Cambridgeshire.

The firm is set to pick up the Thorney bypass scheme, near Peterborough, ahead of Kier, Alfred McAlpine, Jackson Civil Engineering and May Gurney.

The 5 km-long dual carriage-way is for the Highways Agency.Birse will start in August with work lasting 18 months.
