Blair launches London Olympics charm offensive

Prime Minister Tony Blair embarked on a frantic 48 hours of arm-twisting today, backing London's 2012 bid for the Olympic Games.
He pledged to go 'all out' to woo International Olympic Committee delegates in Singapore in the run-up to decision day on Wednesday.

Downing Street officials said the premier's diary for the next two days was as busy as they had ever seen it, although strict IOC rules forbid them from disclosing details of his meetings.
