NEWS IN BRIEF

London commuters endured more travel misery this week as an Underground railway line was suspended for two days because of dust. The Waterloo & City line did not run for most of Monday and Tuesday morning, because drivers were having problems seeing properly. Metronet apologised to passengers for the delay, saying the dust was created on work to grind the rails, despite having a team of 30 cleaners with industrial vacuum cleaners and magnetic wands.
